Dive sites in Sudan
Sudan is still relatively untouched, especially when compared with Egypt. The waters are clean, warm and full of life, making it a mecca for researchers and divers. Sharks, mantas, barracudas, all in many numbers can be found. The water temperature is around 27 to 28 degrees in summer and 24 degrees in winter. There are shipwrecks, enormous drop offs, walls and pinnacles, enough to make this destination the dive holiday of your life.
Sudan is a poor country and when interested in serious diving, taking a live-aboard is almost the only options. They leave from Egypt as well as from Port Sudan and Port Galeb, the only 'touristy' area's in Sudan.
